Hello, bonjour, namaste.
I'm Rachna the designer.
Befittingly named रचना, or creation in Hindi, I love all forms of artistic creation and decided to pursue graphic design as a career 10 years ago. My background lies in print and interactive, as well as editorial and promotion design. I'm most passionate about design that invites thinkership and creates impact. I have an MFA from Pratt Institute, where my thesis explored how design can be used for meaningful storytelling.
My freelance clients include American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Barclays, Columbia University, Disney-Hyperion, KBIA (Missouri Public Radio), Gorilla Corporation, Trunk Club, International Child Art Foundation, and more. I have also held an adjunct professor position at the Robert Busch School of Design at Kean University.
I'm a 4A Operation Jumpstart Scholar and have also received GD USA's American Graphic Design Award.
In my free time, I think about how to make the world a better place. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, visiting museums, and discovering new music. I currently reside in Montclair, NJ with my husband Bharat and cat Ampersand.

"Rachna really embraced the conference's concept and interpreted it well. She listens very carefully to feedback and responds well, especially with specific attention to detail. Look forward to continue working together." —Marie Miville, Program Director of Winter Roundtable, Teachers College at Columbia University
"What sets Rachna's projects apart are the bold color schemes, creative layout approaches and modern aesthetic. I’ve seen creative usage of space, color blocks, typesetting that we don’t really get from other designers. And, she's able to work with a lot of text." —Jon Mau, Marketing Manager at American Association of Neurological Surgeons
